I find nothing more indulgent than to read a good book with a warm drink. I’ve discovered the sweet potato latte during my visit to Seoul, South Korea, this past summer, and fell in love with the drink (and the city :)

Recipe: Blend together 200g baked purple sweet potato (flesh only, no skin) + 2 cups milk + 1tbsp sugar + 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon. Heat in saucepan over stove, while stirring, until hot.

Matcha and lemon cookies inspired by Winterwood

 

Combine 250g flour + 125g butter (softened) + 120g sugar + 1 tbsp lemon juice + zest of 1 lemon + Matcha green tea powder. Knead until smooth. Roll out the dough and cut out shapes. Place cookies on cookie-sheet and bake in a 350-degree-oven (F) until golden (about 10-15  minutes depending on thickness). [Optional: Sprinkle with powder sugar and/or matcha powder.]
